The International Cycling Tour of Trinidad and TobagoStarted 3 months ago to this day I embarked on my largest project on the stage editor, a ZCTS surpassing Reunion, attempting to create a race I had been thinking about for over a year. I have always had a fascination since starting stage making of the ZCTS project, creating not just a race but a scale representation of a whole real life location for people to explore themselves as well as race on. I think the concept of an island lays perfectly into the hands of a ZCTS, there is no arbitrary line where you cut off the zcts with a harsh unnatural line, because you have run out of space as you ambition was too big, and now you are left with half of Grenoble being a void, and only one way to get up the Iseran, with an island you can create a whole region as nature intended without any stark cutoffs. That is why I built the Reunion ZCTS, as it was A the only place in DEM zones really left untouched by the community, but it was an Island I could complete and feel a sense of fulfilment once finishing. However, thanks to the brilliant @demjong and @Sjengske who expanded our ability to build outside the confines of the base game DEM files there has been one itch I wanted to scratch. Hence Trinidad and Tobago, seemingly ideal for a ZCTS, tough mountains in the north and flat plains in the south ideal to create a well rounded race. The problem, Trinidad and Tobago, as you may have gathered is not an island, but two. Does it make any sense to put both islands on one ZCTS? NO, you cant ride between them and you can only just about see the other from the other's coast line, however the idea of building both in one ZCTS doubled the fulfilment of the island ZCTS concept. So I present the International Cycling Tour of Trinidad and Tobago, in the thread attached I will outline each stage in detail as well as a bunch of screenshots.
